The farm Swartrug Situated 8 km from Paternoster, 9 km from Stompneusbay / Shelley Point and 22 km from Vredenburg, on the dirt road connecting Paternoster and Stompneusbay. The farm was a working mixed agriculture concern until 2006. Since then it has been allowed to revert to natural vegetation. As a result of this, a large amount of small game has reestablished this as their habitat. Drikus Horse Trails uses the homestead and surrounding outbuildings for the horses.
Horse Riding We offer various horse riding options on request. From 1 hour trips to Sun downer and weekend party trips. We take novice and experienced riders or bring your own horse to enjoy the weekend with you. Growing up in the West Coast, and riding since the age of eight years old with the “horse legend”, Drikus Laubscher from Sompneusbay, we decided to begin, Drikus Horse Trails, as a tribute to one of the most wonderful “horsemen” which I was privilege to have as a mentor in my life.
